OPEN REGIONAL POSITIONS

ADVISOR COORDINATOR

Assist with training for advisors within the region; ensure advisors assigned to a collegiate chapter have completed all required training; act as a resource for advisors to answer questions and address challenges; help advisors with developing their roles; provide feedback to the Regional Director on regional trends and strategies for building healthy relationships between collegiates and advisors, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

ARTS & LETTERS COMMITTEE

Assist chapters with developing and coordinating arts and letters programs and projects approved by the Grand Chapter, and is part of the Regional Leadership Team.

AWARDS & RECOGNITION COMMITTEE

Oversee the nomination and selection process for regional awards and recognition; assist chapters and members needing assistance and/or guidance when submitting for national awards and recognition, and is part of the Regional Leadership Team.

CHAPLAINS COUNCIL

Responsible for leading special events, meetings, and conferences with prayers, invocations, and spiritual messages; observe and respect different religious beliefs for all sorors, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE

Assist chapters with fulfilling their compliance obligations and offering help with navigating the RED Zone, and is part of the Regional Leadership Team. 

DELTA INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Maintain a roster of trained DID Facilitators; provide a list of facilitators to chapters upon request; assist chapters with completing paperwork prior to membership intake and New Initiates DIDs; provide DID workshops to chapters and the Region; work with Regional Director to schedule DID Facilitator training when necessary, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM

Assist chapters with developing a sound preparedness plan and practices; help chapters adhere to guidelines and references necessary to aiding members in their individual and collective preparation in order to receive expeditious and swift restoration following a disaster, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

HERITAGES & ARCHIVES COMMITTEE

Provide an organized method of research, categorization, and preservation of the historical data for the Region; maintain a record of regional activities, events, and significant milestones for publication and display; and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE

Support the Region on matters pertaining to information and communication technology applications and systems; support the Region's social media accounts; ensure chapters and members adhere to the DIG and other related concerns, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

Assist with regional communication (newsletters, journals, directories, and electronic mailings); create graphic art and designs; manage databases; update the website; support training activities and webinars; track and monitor communication campaigns, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

INVESTIGATION TEAM 

Investigate allegations of code of conduct infractions; manage, review and submit all paperwork and evidence to the Regional Director to complete the required disciplinary forms; recommend sanction(s) for violation(s), and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

MUST be certified to serve on this committee. 

JOURNALIST COMMITTEE

Act as a liaison between the region and National Information and Communication Committee; receive information from chapters for publishing in the newsletter or newspaper for the region; prepare information for articles being submitted to any city and state newspapers or magazines; write articles concerning the region, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

LEADERSHIP & SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

Assist chapters and members with completing grants and scholarship applications administered through the national organization, DREF, and other external funding resources, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

MEMBERSHIP INTAKE COMMITTEE

Assist chapters with completing membership intake pre and post paperwork; ensure chapters adhere to carrying out the duties as described in the Administrative Procedures for Membership Intake and Membership Intake Program; work with Regional Director to schedule membership intake training, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES COMMITTEE

Assist chapters with developing and providing membership programs and services as directed by Grand Chapter; assist chapters with promoting continuous programs for retention and reclamation of the membership; provide activities and sessions at regional and state events that promote sisterhood, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

PARLIAMENTARIAN COUNCIL

Serve in a consultative role; provide feedback to the Regional Director; supports chapter parliamentarian's, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

PEARL PROGRAM COMMITTEE

Assist with developing and enhancing the leadership capacity of sorors at the local and regional levels; ensure consistency of approach and quality of training and development activities; serve as a resource on learning and development, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

PHOTOGRAPHERS COMMITTEE

Responsible for capturing all of the activities for the conference, special programs, meetings, clusters, and any other event/activity as requested by the Regional Director.

PROGRAM PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Assist with developing and coordinating projects that are consistent with the long-range plan and the priorities as approved by Grand Chapter, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

PROTOCOL & TRADITIONS COMMITTEE

Educate and assist the region with organizing seating chart(s) in holding room prior to events; line up the dais and reserved seating participants; assist dais guests with robes and stoles for national ceremonies; assist the National Committee chairs during conferences, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

REACTIVATION & CHARTERING COMMITTEE

Review and investigate applications for reactivating chapters and establishing new chapters; work with Regional Director and State Coordinators to assist with the establishment of new and reactivation of chapters, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team

REGIONAL CHOIR

Responsible for the coordination of all music for conferences, special events, and activities; the choir and other appointed musicians (pianist, instrumentalists, etc.) are under the coordinator’s direction.

REGIONAL SECRETARY

Assist the Regional Director with duties as assigned; responsible for the recording of the minutes of the cluster meeting and conferences; seat the voting delegates at meetings and conferences; prepare and distribute minutes to chapters and members, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Assist chapters with conducting risk management training for members and volunteers; help chapters identify problem areas with youth program activities; ensure chapters adhere to policies established in the Risk Management Manual; report all findings directly to the Regional Director, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

RITUAL & CEREMONIES COMMITTEE

Assist and educate chapters with ceremonies and ritualistic activities; ensure chapters are updated and adhere to any recommended changes set forth by Grand Chapter, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

STATE COORDINATOR

Assist the Regional Director and chapters with planning clusters and state meetings; prepare written reports of state meetings; forward any concerns and issues addressed by chapters and individual members to the Regional Director and the Regional Representative; assist with conducting investigations as requested; serve as a Membership Intake Trainer after certification by the National Scholarship and Standards Committee; attend Advisors Training; inform Regional Director of training needs in their area; assist with the establishment of chapters; assist with the implementation of conferences; travel at the request of the Regional Director, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

STATE FACILITATOR

Assist the Regional Representative with duties as assigned; assist with activities that promote collegiate/alumnae relationships; assist the State Coordinators with duties as assigned, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE

Educate chapters on current issues, assist them with coordinating social action programs and projects approved by Grand Chapter, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

SPECIAL EVENTS & COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP COMMITTEE

Coordinate activities with the Regional Director for regional meetings, clusters, and conferences approved by Grand Chapter; assist with the acquisition of meeting, event and programming space, and is a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

REGIONAL COMMITTEE MEMBER

Willing to serve on any committee. Committee members have the obligation of efficiently carrying out the aims and purposes of the Region. The best way of accomplishing this is to be assigned one project, objective, or duty on a committee and hold the committee responsible for its completion. Committee members are a part of the Regional Leadership Team.

NATIONAL COMMITTEE MEMBER

Willing to serve on any National committee. Regional representatives have an obligation to effectively carry out Grand Chapters' goals and mission while representing the Region. Committee members are a part of the Regional Leadership Team.
